Who We Are? The Salvation Army EU-Center in Kungsholmen is part of the global Salvation Army, a Christian organization with a rich history of compassion and service to the marginalized. Founded in 1865, The Salvation Army is committed to addressing both the spiritual and material needs of individuals. Our mission is to provide practical care and support to vulnerable people, embodying core values of compassion, integrity, respect, and non-discrimination. At the EU-Center, we are dedicated to ensuring that basic needs, such as food, safety, and shelter, are met for vulnerable EU citizens, asylum seekers, undocumented individuals, and third-country nationals.
What is our Vision and Mission? Our vision is to foster a society where no one is left behind , and every individual has access to the necessities of life. We focus on meeting immediate needs, such as nutrition, hygiene, and medical care, allowing individuals to maintain their dignity and well-being. By offering compassionate support, we aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where those on the fringes of society can find hope and care.
What will you do? As a volunteer, your support in the kitchen—which is the heart of our center—will be greatly valued. While much of your time will involve practical activities, there will also be room for you to bring your own interests, skills and creativity to the table. Whatever the task is, it will provide you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
