Help us prepare breakfast at or social center "Basehelp" in Betlehemskyrkan

Räddningsmissionen, The Rescue Mission translated, is a non-profit, social work organisation with Christian values based in Göteborg, Sweden. Since 1952 we have been working with people in different vulnerable life situations. We offer both immediate and long-term solutions to create change for the people we meet. The work we do is widespread and consists of a lot of different projects spread out across the city. Our organization consists of both employees and volunteers.

One of our operations is the Basehelp (Bashjälpen) which we conduct in a cooperation with the Bethlehem church, situated at Vasagatan in central Gothenburg. Bashjälpen exists for people who don’t have a home and is outside the welfare system. Here the guests are offered a possibility to shower, do laundry, get coffee and sandwiches, and someone to talk to. We have a trained staff who can give social support and community information.

We are in a need of more volunteers at Bashjälpen. As a volunteer you are mainly involved in arranging the practical things around the preparation and serving breakfast while meeting the guests and their needs.
