Volunteer with Queerkväll hos RFSL Stockholm
What is Queerkväll?
Queerkväll is our meeting place where all adults under the LGBTQI umbrella can meet and participate in fun activities in an alcohol-free environment. We are open on Tuesday evenings, and two Fridays a month. The activities are funded by the National Board of Health and Welfare and the City of Stockholm with the aim of counteracting involuntary social isolation and to promote good psychological wellbeing among LGBTI adults in Stockholm.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers who have experience meeting people in different life situations and feel comfortable working in a multicultural context. The assignment also involves practical tasks such as the following:
● Seeing over a variety of activities (e.g. board game evenings, craft evenings, and workshops).
● Preparing refreshments, and cleaning the kitchen and after the activities.
● Motivate participation and answer practical questions.
Volunteers recieve a small honorarium for this role.
Requirements:
To volunteer with RFSL Stockholm, the following is required:
● You are 18+ years old;
● You are a member of RFSL Stockholm;
● You are willing show an extract from the criminal record register; and,
● You share RFSL's basic principles of equality and diversity as RFSL Stockholm is an anti-racist, feminist, and intersectional organization.
When and where the opportunity takes place
Tuesdays (17:15 to 21:15) and select Fridays (16:15 - 20:15) at our locale at Alsnögatan 7, plan 3.
