Mänskliga Rättighetsdagarna (The Swedish Forum for Human Rights) has been held since the year 2000 and is the Nordic region's most important gathering place for practitioners, researchers, authorities, politicians, and volunteers working with or wanting to learn more about human rights. The purpose of the event is to provide a platform for inspiration, debate, skill development, and networking around human rights.

For the first time, the forum will be held in Skellefteå. Over two days, around 150 program sessions and about 60 exhibitors will be a part of the arrangement at Sara Kulturhus. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the event.

To realize the forum, we need engaged and skilled volunteers who can assist us organizers in providing visitors with a great experience. As part of our dedicated team, you will not only have an exciting role but also an unparalleled opportunity to develop your career in areas such as human rights, project management, and service.

As a volunteer at Mänskliga Rättighetsadagarna, you will gain insight into how the largest forum for human rights in the Nordic region operates behind the scenes. As a volunteer, you may help with everything from welcoming and guiding visitors, monitoring seminar rooms, supporting speakers, to writing posts for social media. You will be part of a group with other volunteers and will have a group leader to help delegate tasks.

As a volunteer, you will also receive:

Volunteer training to perform your role in the best possible way.

Application:

Include a brief description of yourself and your experiences. Please mention if you have special skills in technology, languages, sign language and/or writing interpretation, photography, and/or human rights. The role is unpaid, and Mänskliga Rättighetsadagarna cannot cover travel or accommodation costs.

A digital information and training session October 30th, approximately 2 hours, and a tour of the venue November 13th. Participation during the forum on November 14-15, 2024, at Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå.
