:DFRI (The Digital Freedom and Rights Association) is looking for people who want to volunteer for the technical operation of networks, server hardware and system services and applications that strengthen the right of all people to information and communication on the Internet! Read more here.
More information is available on our website. All these services are operated and managed by volunteers within the association.
Requirements:
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
- Willingness to contribute to DFRI's values, mission and activities: https://www.dfri.se/dfri/
Desirable knowledge (or curiosity to want to learn something from and about):
- Basic knowledge in system administration and system development in BSD or GNU/Linux, e.g. Debian or Debian-based SSH, BASH, Git, PGP, etc
- Postfix
- PHP
- Wordpress
- Ansible
- Container technology such as Docker
- L2, switches for 2+ network points (currently 3 halls)
- BGP routing
- Tor relays and Tor exits within the Tor network (safer browsing)
- DevOps
- Matrix servers
- Nextcloud

- Send the application, attach CV as a link/file in an email reply and 2-3 references (assignments/projects).
Minimum commitment
1 hour per month
When and where the opportunity takes place
We will agree on this together. You do your volunteer tasks when, where and how it suits you. Many tasks can be carried out remotely. Some tasks can also be done on site in our data centers.

DFRI är en ideell och partipolitiskt obunden förening som verkar för främjandet av digitala rättigheter. Vårt mål är ett samhälle med så lite övervakning, spårning och avlyssning som möjligt.
